A classic afternoon tea treat, Mr Kipling cherry bakewell tarts are sweet pastry cases filled with plum and raspberry jam, almond flavoured sponge and topped with fondant icing and half a glace cherry. The perfect dessert, tea time addition or snack.
Ingredients
White fondant icing [sugar, glucose syrup, invert sugar syrup, water, palm oil, rapeseed oil, rice starch, humectant (glycerol), emulsifiers (mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, sucrose esters of fatty acids), cornflour, acidity regulator (citric acid)], wheat flour [wheat flour, calcium carbonate, iron, niacin, thiamin], plum and raspberry jam (10%) [glucose syrup, sugar, plum purée, water, raspberry purée, acidity regulators (citric acid, trisodium citrate), gelling agent (pectin), colour (anthocyanins), preservative (potassium sorbate), flavouring], palm oil, sugar, glacé cherry half (6%) [cherry, glucose-fructose syrup, fruit and vegetable concentrates (blackcurrant, radish, carrot), acidity regulator (citric acid)], palm kernel oil, water, humectant (glycerol), pasteurised egg, rapeseed oil, pasteurised egg white, emulsifier (mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids), salt, raising agents (disodium diphosphate, sodium bicarbonate), flavouring.
